Hello TPERP Volunteers,
Although the low tide season is winding down, we are gearing up for some behind-the-scenes projects. These are projects that will help us interpret the natural resources in the coastal area of the park, both in the tidepools and out, with the focus being the education table. (If you’re interested in learning more about these projects, please ask Bonnie for a copy of the TPERP Committee meeting minutes, and she’ll be happy to provide them to you.)
Education table shifts are posted, so please take a look and try it out. If you haven’t been trained on working the Education Table, please mark Saturday June 14 from 10am to 3pm on your calendar. We’ll do an introduction to tidepools, interpretation, and tidepool table logistics.
For those of you who have already worked in the tidepools as TPERP’s – who would like to do a table shift prior to June 14 – just send me an email and we’ll get you set up with a shadow shift at the table. You’ll have the resource knowledge, you’ll just mostly need to learn the table logistics.
We have a new volunteer would like to work at the Education Table on Monday, June 16 and needs someone to shadow. So if you have Education Table experience and are willing to work that day, please let Bonnie know.
The tidepool committee is hard at work, creating new interpretive displays and materials for the summer, and is also looking ahead to the Fall tidepool season.
I’ll send out an email soon with the next tidepool committee date for anyone who wants to help with some behind-the-scenes efforts.
Thanks to you all.
